HUM 2310 Lecture Notes - Lecture 2: Elohist, Jahwist, Israelites
Document Summary
Personally, i believe that being a believer in the stories of ovid would be ovid"s seemed to be a calmer environment, and would be a more enjoyable time. Everything in his stories seemed to work a little more effectively as well. I honestly am not quite sure what my view would be if i worshipped the same deities. But i think it would be easier to understand as there is one god in ovid"s story, unlike hesiods where there are several. I say this because hesiod"s stories give us more of an image that things were more chaotic and more hectic. Hesiod was not much of a great man in general and gave other men a bad image due to his own actions: explain the differences between hesiod"s and ovid"s accounts of creation. Be specific about the different details to be found in each account. With hesiod"s account of creation, it is mentioned that four powers were used.
