International relations is the study of the various interactions of participants in international. Participants include states/countries, ngos, international organizations, individuals and so forth. Further, it studies the behaviours of participants as they participate in individual and joint international political processes. State centrism: the idea that international politics is centred around the state and everything the state does or does not do. Even if states are the most important actors in international politics, they are not the only actors that play a role. When defined this way, international relations become the study of these actors" behaviours as they participate individually or collectively in international political processes. Three key figures: kenneth waltz (1924-2013), {neo}realism, robert keohane (1941-), {neo}liberalism, alexander wendt (1958-), constructivism.
