Forecasting material demand is like forecasting the weather condition. Forecasting is a systematic approach to probe the future demand material of the industry. Forecasting and demand analysis- the customer"s demand is the most important component in forecasting. Management of an organization should always look into the changing consumer preference in the manufacture of goods or the delivery of essential service. 1. qualitative method- consists mainly of subjective information given by those in direct contact with the end user of the product.
