It extends to the opening of the esophagus and the layrnx. the air go from pharynx into larynx. All the alveoli on one side constitute a lung. There is pair of lungs in the thoracic cavity. The left lung is slightly smaller than the right. Blood which contains oxygen is known as "oxygenated blood"".
