Preference tables are ballots that allow voters to rank their options in order of preference. The person who receives the most first-preference votes is proclaimed the winner using the plurality method. You must first establish how many 1st choice votes each option obtained in order to identify a plurality winner. The winner is whoever receives the most votes. Candidates are given points based on their ranking in the borda count method. The lowest ranking person receives one point, the second-to-last person receives two points, and so on. The candidates" point totals are added together, and the one with the highest total wins. The plurality method and the plurality-with-elimination approach are very similar. The winner is determined by a majority of first-place votes. A candidate is declared the winner if he or she receives more than half of the total first-place votes.
