Document Summary

Federalism: federalism is a form of government where multiple governments share power over the same general area. This differs to the other form of government known as the unitary government. The unitary government is a form of government that all powers are ran through a central government, unlike the federalism form which has two or more governments that share power over certain areas. The other form of government is known as the confederation government. This government is defined as a group of states, nations or territories that are joined together by a central government that has limited powers of authority. With this form of government, individual states, nations, or territories have a strong sense of independence. This differs from the other two forms of government because in regards to unitary government, the central government holds the most power and is not weaker when it comes to the unitary form.
