Injuries due to blunt or penetrating or explosives or fire. Ct is better for timing due to golden hour. Glasgow scale: minor gcs> 13, moderate gcs 9-12 severe less than 8. Ct head protocol : bone windows (1800,400, soft tissue (100,30)- for trauma and to check organs and blood vessels, blood windows - hematomas such as epidural or subdural (200, 60) Skull fractures: not good at showing fractures at vertex. Epidural hematoma: middle meningeal artery, temporoparietal commonly, biconvex, younger population, b/w skull and dura. Loss of brain issue: elderly and alcoholic, venous bleed, concentric, convex, chronic- contrast, 10% bilateral.
