Autonomy: control over one"s life (the more options you have, the more autonomy you have) Act utilitarianism = a moral theory that says that utility is what"s good and that we should act in a way that brings about the greatest amount of utilities for everyone affected by our acts. --utilitarianism wants to know what makes everyone happy and how to we apply that (know the titles of the works we are reading: will be tested on it. ) Act and rule utilitarianism might say the same thing-- don"t kill your neighbor. (they might agree for many things. )
