Document Summary

Even though we are all aware of the racism that occurred for years before african. American"s decided to attend all-white schools, it still just amazes me how things used to be (not that they"re any better now). Regardless, reading about all the things that were accomplished in the year 1956 alone really surprised me. Thankfully, things were already starting to change, as the book describes, by boundary breakers. Even though people were breaking boundaries and challenging existing legislature, this was not the case for the prisoners in a prison system known as the burnin" hell / one last. It is commonly known this way because it felt like time stood still in here. Prisoners couldn"t tell you what year it was or what exactly was happening in mansfield. Inmates were kept on farms or in cells depending on their color. More specifically, there were three different farms with 3 different demographics.
