12:47 pm: lip-reading is the process of figuring out what somebody is saying simply by watching the movements of their mouth, key terms. Any type of barrier or disruption to the communication process; also called interference. Barriers to the communication process related to one"s health and bodily well-being. Physiological noise that occurs when information that one receives conflicts with their feelings, thoughts, or beliefs. Noise that occurs when one receives too much information at one time. When exposed to too much information, you are not capable of processing everything. When this happens, you begin to filter information. Start to not respond to texts from certain people, or avoid certain web sites to filter the information you see. Audible sounds that interfere with the communication process; also called environmental noise. Barriers to the communication process related to one"s feelings, perceptions, and beliefs; also called attitudinal noise.
