SLS 1501 Lecture Notes - Frost Art Museum, Chocolate Syrup
Document Summary
For the first campus involvement event of the 2016 fall semester, i attended a two-hour seminar titled art and health palette to palate, which took place in the patricia and phillip frost. This event was particularly interesting to me because it combined two personal interests of mine; art, and food. Miriam machado, the curator of education at the frost art. Museum, introduced the topics that would be discussed and the activities they had planned for the guests. She went on to present published author and journalist linda gassenheimer, award- winning chef allen susser, and the director of frost art museum, jordana pomeroy. The panel discussion was held by gassenheimer, chef susser, and pomeroy. They very briefly took turns speaking about how art is related to healthy eating. They soon followed up with answering questions from people in the dining hall, which happened to be related to farmer"s markets, and genetically modified foods.
