Honors presentation groups of 3-4 student for 5-7 minute presentation. Old testament is organized by genre not chronologically. Events are not listed in order, they are listed by type of each book. Examples of how to live a wise life. Major prophets starts in time of kings, goes to end of esther major are larger volumes. Minor prophets often called the book of the 12 and are written together. Many of the events of the old testament overlap in history. Not just a set of rules but its about relationships. Horizontal: how to live in right relationship with others. Vertical: how to live in right relationship before god. The books of the law are the first 5 books of the old testament. Set up the entire story of the old testament. Provide descriptions and examples of wisdom and faithful living based on the law. Demonstrate general truths but there are exceptions that happen in real life.

Write a 3-4 page paper focusing on the following:

- An analysis of the fall and introduction of $\sin$ into history and creation.

- A survey of God's redemptive plan, beginning with the call of Abraham as the first step in the creation of Israel.

- In the Old Testament, what is the role of grace in relation to holiness? Does grace make holiness unnecessary, or is it a means to holiness?

In this class we tried to survey the science of human evolution from a historical perspective - we started in the early/mid 19th century and worked our way to the approximate present. How else could this class be organized? Knowing what you know now, if you were to teach this class, how would you organize it? What are the pros and cons to organizing chronologically (moving forward in geological time) vs historically (moving forward with discoveries)? Is this sort of dilemma unique to the historical sciences (paleontology, archaeology, geology etc...)?
