This is an issue because they are more likely to get into accidents when they are first starting to drink, and when they are driving with their peers. Monthly (regular) alcohol use trends over time. Used to be the most common drug. Good news is that drinking is going down, particularly for males. Alcohol use: binge vs. past year use. Fda made regulations that the only flavors are tobacco or flavorless. Fentanyl deaths: 94% increase between 2019-2020 among 14-18 yr olds. No contact with peers or super limited & drugs are available. One takeaway: females are now users of more illegal drugs and drugs in general. Females are looking worse off in terms of problem behavior.
