To begin, there has been a numerous amount of human rights abuses conducted toward protesters in sudan by the government and their soldiers. This ongoing violence has been occurring for months with no legal action taken to end the crimes that have been occurring and affecting citizens. There have been conflicts in darfur, southern kordofan and blue nile from. 2018, and it is evident that there has been no progress in this situation. The amount of arbitrary detentions, torture, sexual violence and discrimination conducted toward sudanese individuals needs to raise more international awareness in order for higher officials to take actions. During the wave of protests in january and february, security agents detained hundreds of rights activists, protesters and opposition party members and held dozens for weeks without charge. The detainees were subjected to torture and ill treatment, which violates their fundamental human rights. (human rights watch, 2019).
