1. Solve each formula for the indicated letter. Assume that allvariables represent nonnegative numbers.
A = pr^2 + prs, for r (Surface area of a cone)
2. in solving the equation (x + 3)(x - 3) = -8, Eric stated thatthe solution would be x + 3 = -8 => x = -11 or (x - 3) = -8=> -5
However, at least on of these solutions fails to work whensubstituted back into the original equation. Why is that? Pleasehelp Eric to understand better, solve the problem youself, andexplain you reasoning.
