There seems to be abundant evidence that both technology and trade have had an Impact on labour markets and workers in Canada (and other countries). Income inequality has been growing - with rapid gains in income by select groups in the country, while many other workers feel "left behind" and face diminishing job prospects and very slow or negative income growth. How can the government (federal, provincial, or local - you can specify as appropriate) best support workers within Canada through policies and programs that will reduce income inequality and offer new opportunities to a wider set of people in the country?
