In Fig. 18-42a, two identical rectangularrodsof metal are welded end to end, with a temperatureofT1 = 0°C on the left side and a temperatureofT2 = 100°C on the right side. I looked at a similar solution and had issues following thepersonswork. I just dont understand how with the two equations somanyunknowns can be solved out.
