A clock has an hour hand that is 9.0 ft long and a minutehavethat is 14 ft long, where the distance is measured from thecenterof the clock to the tip of each hand. What is thetip-to-tipdistance between these two hands when the clock reads 12minutesafter 4 o'clock? I am confused on what equations I need for this, I assumethatthe 9 and 14 ft represent 2 sides of a triangle but I do notknowhow to figure the hypotenuse when the given time is askedfor. Ialso dont know how to do it because I feel as thoughthere should bean angle given in order to find the solution.
