I’d like a step-by-step annotated solution with a diagram to thefollowing problem. The Serway and Jewitt text always describes oneframe of reference as having the "proper" time or distance. Who isproper in this case? The observer on earth or the astronaut?
Thanks.

If you were to travel to a star 100 light-years from Earth at aspeed of 2.60*108m/s, what would you measure as your distancetraveled to the star?
