1/Plot T vs. meff on log-log paper. Why should the slope of log Tvs. log meff equal 0.5? Consider how you derived meff. Why does theslope have to equal 0.5?
2/If you plotted the excess mass as a function of the mass you hungon the end of the spring what should the graph look liketheoretically? what should the slope be?
