A block of mass m=5.0 kg. is being pulled along a rough, horizontal surface by a rope attached near the top of the block at an angle of 30 degrees to the postive, horizontal axis. The tension in the rope is 40 N, and the coeffient of friction between the block and the surface is mu k = 0.25. a). If the block travels a distance of 4.5 m. along the surface, what is the work done by the rope? b) Find the work done by friction on the block?
