A uniform disk of mass m = 3.6 kg and radius R = 8 cm can rotate about an axle through its center. Four forces are acting on it as shown in the figure.
Their magnitudes are F1 = 7.5 N, F2 = 4.5 N, F3 = 7.5 N and F4 = 4.5 N. F2 and F4 act a distance d = 4.5 cm from the center of mass. These forces are all in the plane of the disk.
Part (c) Write an expression for the x-component Px of the force exerted by the pivot in terms of T.
Part (d) What is the tension in the horizontal cable, in Newtons, if the mass of the beam is 38kg, the length of the beam is 13m and the angle is 37o?
