A professor of statistics was interested in exploring a possible relation between student’s performance on the final exam (pass or fail) and their attendance at the final review session. Of the 200 students enrolled in the class, eighty attended the final review session. Sixty of the students who attended the final review passed the final exam and fifty of those who did NOT attend the review passed the final exam. Is there evidence for a difference between the two groups in terms of their performance on the final exam?
