Cooperating with various other airlines will also attract more customers because of points/airmile programs they earn from flying. Thus, airlines have worked together to provide better/seamless experiences for passengers and to cut costs. The host government has set fixed rules and regulations regarding which foreign careers have landing rights, which airports and aircraft are permitted to be used, the frequency of flights, whether foreign carriers can fly beyond the country, etc.
