Tall means further from the heat of the ground. Need to cook to survive: can"t maintain body weight or reproduce. The more time you spend cooking, the less processing your body needs. Keeps you warm- allows tropical, naked primates to live in cold places. Apes can do it because they have much larger guts (humans have smaller hips and narrower waists)
