Hayes code: films could be more edgy and show more stuff. In the 60"s the old production code administration was replaced by the classification and ratings administration. The graduate took a look at the suburbs (a fairly new concept) The graduate imagines what life is like in the suburbs. The film is a coming age of film. Benjamin braddock is returning from college back east .
