Teratogens: teratogens: agents, such as chemicals and virusis, that can reach the embryo or fetus during prenatal development and cause harm, examples, hiv, heroin, smoke, alcohol. Fetal alcohol syndrome: physical and cognitive abnormalities in children caused by a pregnant woman"s heavy drinking.
