Hair and fur: definition: they are natural fibres of animal origin. Hairs are animal fibres that originate from humans while fur originates from other species. From which part of the body (scalp, pubic) Dna analysis: strs somatic & y chr. mitochondrial. Physical characters of scalp and pubic hair - showed similarities to same individual. Cannot confirm that because that is not her realm of expertise - can only confirm or deny the evidence to the suspect/victim. **in autopsy report - no information about where the hair was found or how was found. Only orally explained to the scientist that the hair was found in the wound. Because of this mishap the hair was removed from evidence: before autopsy most important thing is collection of trace evidence (from clothing/body) lack of proof of chain of custody means lack of acceptance of evidence. *hair cannot be used as only piece of evidence, review circumstantial evidence as well.
