Regression
• Can look at relationship between two quantitative variables by making a scatterplot
• Making the scatterplot
o Plot values for each observation on graph
• Horizontal axis: represents predictor variable (Independent variable)
• Vertical axis: represents value of predicted variable (dependant variable)
• Interpreting the plot: dependant on linear relationship
o Positive relationship: slope of linear line of best fit will look like /
o Negative relationship: slope of linear line of best fit will look like \
o No relationship: slope of linear line of best fit will look like -
o Can model through linear regression
