Today, the middle east is filled with a lot of strife. They created the first form of written language from sumerians. Mesopotamia wasn t the only place in the world where writing was invented. China, indus valley, mesoamerica and egypt are other independent centers for the invention of writing. Mesopotamia retains the honor of the first human culture to invent writing. The invention of agriculture also developed in middle east. Town: any human settlement where the majority of the population is engrossed in something other than just growing food. All houses are the same size, same materials, etc. No external defenses: therefore, assumption hat they didn t have to defend themselves from anything.
