in the very first line of your review. Use the format: Author, “title of article inside
double quotes”, journal name in italics, vol., no. (year): page span.
2. Read the article closely and more than once. Highlight statements that strike you as
important. You may wish to quote one or two in your review and explain why you
have done so.
3. Consider how the article has provoked your thinking.
4. Provide a context for the article: reviewers draw on their own experience and knowledge
when reading a text. Please include something of what you have learnt so far in this
unit (as background knowledge) when discussing the article. You may refer to other
works in your review: if you do, please list their publication details at the end of your
review, following the format outlined under item 1 above. (References are not
included in the word count)
