During pregnancy, a woman"s body changes in different ways and these include mostly physiological changes. Changes that are related to how the body of a woman function differently during pregnancy than during non-pregnancy stage. These the changes may occur due to the effect of hormones. Hormones are signalling chemical messenger that are secreted by the endocrine system into the bloodstream. They control and regulates the activities of different cells in different organs. During pregnancy these changes can sometimes be uncomfortable, but most of the times they are necessary for the normal development, nourishment and protection of the foetus. These changes can further help the body of a pregnant woman in preparation to labour, and in the development of her breast for the production of milk. In this scientific blog the more focused physiological changes will be the changes in the hormone levels including the two main hormones (oestrogen and progesterone).
