Document Summary

As indicated in the syllabus, the midterm exam for philosophy 2103a will take place in our classroom on. On the exam you will be asked to explain, or describe, or evaluate, a number of (about 6 or 7) diferent concepts, theories, doctrines, arguments or issues that we have discussed in the course so far. Each of your answers should be about to 1 page in length or from 150-200 words (though some of your answers could be somewhat longer, others somewhat shorter, depending on the quesion). There will be some choice (perhaps 6 out of 8, or 7 out of 9) but not too much. The topics or quesions will all be selected from the list below. Human rights are basic moral guarantees that people in all countries and cultures allegedly have simply because they are people. Calling these guarantees rights mean they can be invoked by people, they are of high priority and compliance with them is mandatory.
