Office hours: tuesdays 4:45-5:45 at a 500b loeb. Textbook: research methods in psychology 2nd edition by b. morling: copy available on reserve in the library. Textbook companion website: comes with the new textbook, not required for the course, but is an added resource. If something is unclear, make sure to get it clarified. The research is more conceptual, more about understanding why we would be applying a certain statistic. Notes will be posted on cu learn prior to the lectures: discussion forum on cu learn for use of students; study groups, sharing notes, etc. Exams: the grades will be posted on cu learn, bring pencils and erasers as the exams are multiple choice. The second online lab is due nov 24, available on oct 23. Exams: tested on information given in class. If something is in the textbook but not covered in class it will not be tested. It is not based on experience or intuition, but conducting systematic scientific research.
