Mutual needs are met during social interaction (e. g. , participants share ideas, feelings, and experiences). Communication skills used in social relationships may include giving advice and (sometimes) meeting basic dependency needs, such as lending money and helping with jobs. Occurs between two or more individuals who have an emotional commitment to each other. Those in an intimate relationship usually react naturally to each other. Often the relationship is a partnership in which each member cares about the other"s needs for growth and satisfaction.
