Document Summary

Sex, gender identities and sexualities final exam review. Ker hall e 220 monday december 10th @ 12. The notion that bisexuality does not exist or is just a temporary phase. Assumptions that our sexuality is either heterosexual or homosexual. Freud"s argument was that oral and anal development stage was for self-pleasure. But with women, he believes that women were underdeveloped if they do not experience opposite gender penetration. Freud saw bisexuality as one of the varies stages on your way to properly develop heterosexuality: so, bisexuality was seen as not sexually developed and that you were stuck and could not fully mature. Adult bisexuality is both genitally focused (unlike the child"s oral, anal eroticisms) and gender conscious. Functions as a rejection of the norm/deviance model. Transgender is a broad umbrella term: it includes transgender, transsexuals, non-binary, fluid gender identities, intersex, crossdressers, drag king/queen: academic work on transgender identities ignores what?
