Recovery nurse and postpartum nurse communication: information communicated to postpartum nurse includes: Newborn: sex and weight of infant, time of birth, name of new born"s caregiver, feeding method, abnormalities, assessment of parent-infant interaction. Mothers should be contacted within 24-48 hrs after discharge and if needed, seen by a skilled caregiver.
