Format: 3 short answers, answer 3 (don"t bother with more than half a page), 2 essay questions, answer. Battle of the sexes: everybody believes we should get together and figure stuff out, but they can"t agree how it should be done. Climate change: developed countries have benefited from being able to ruin the environment for so long, but now developing countries are being told they can"t do that anymore. Disagreement over whether a system should be added or how to do it. Like they agree that climate change is a terrible thing, but now how it should be fixed, who should pay, etc. Tend to dismiss international law, international organizations, etc. that people who discuss international society tend to include. Actors don"t exist as isolated pre-social things, but they exist in a context where there are already institutions, norms, and rules and those impact how they interact. That social character is a key thing in international society.
