They inspired a whole generation of funk and pop: one of the few racially and sexually integrated bands of the era. From funk to dance the stones paved the way for many dance-oriented african. American groups: who they inspired: ohio players, kool and the gang, earth wind and fire. Tower of power: band made up of white, latino and black musicians. They performed hard-driving, funk grooves with a high caliber horn section. They played on records for: elton john, rolling stones, and rod stewart: motown in the 1970"s, quick to absorb change in black pop. The label that once appealed to an older audience now attracted teens. From scotland: received significant airplay on rock radio, reggae.
