POLS 2300 Study Guide - Organizational Culture, Norm (Social)
Document Summary
We are currently in a time where canadian public service is being dissected in all its aspects. These aspects include everything from regulation of finances and health care to military and security. Some might claim that canadian public service has been through enough reform in the past with minimal results or effectiveness, and that no new implementations of policies or programs will lead to an improved and sustainable culture. Unfortunately the absence of past success in improving efficiencies has lead to a loss of motivation for a lot of people on the topic. To achieve such standards means to reinstate trust between politicians and the public, the extinction of unreasonable barriers and government spending and emphasizing sustainable leadership based on values, moral code and transparency. One may argue that seeking both self-sustainability and a system that adapts to our social and economic changes, within a certain time horizon, is counter productive and even a little oxymoronic.
