Information is relayed within a neuron through action potential, that is a nural impulse that travels to the terminal buttons by the axon and is generated by a moving positive and negative charges, akin to a wave. Threshold: the level of stimulation required to trigger a neutral impuls. Whe(cid:374) e(cid:374)ough sa(cid:455) (cid:862)go(cid:863) the threshold is rea(cid:272)hed. Law of all or nothing, always the same intensity. Synapse: action potential causes release of neurotransmitters in the synaptic gap. Neurotransmitters: chemicals used to send a signal across the synaptic gap.
