Students: taking responsibility for their own learning (ask quesions, be involved, challenge your peers and resist doing the minimum amount of work) You cannot think of yourselves as being here to receive an educaion; you will do much beter to think of yourselves as being here to claim one. This is a coninual task, the search for equality is ongoing. Women have tradiionally been omited or marginalized from the classroom for their voices have not been included. By allowing men, primarily white men, shape what counts as historical and important text creates one sided and biased views. We cannot understand the world without understanding these.
