Trans is defined broadly, and may include those who identify as transgender, transsexual, two-spirit trans, transitioned, bigender, genderqueer, or simply man or woman. 96% had heard that trans people were not normal. 78% reported their family had been hurt or embarrassed. 77% worried about growing old alone as a trans person. 73% had been made fun of for being trans. 39% reported they had been turned down for a job for being trans. 32% had to move away because they were trans. 26% reported having been hit or beat up for being trans.
