The garden city is a self-sustainable settlement of between 30,000 and 50,000 people. They are surrounded by green belts and connected to other garden cities through roads, canals, and railways. The garden city is limited to in size; when it reaches a certain size, it stops growing. The corporations would then start another garden city somewhere else. Corporations would buy the farmland (people that bought the land would not identify themselves) at agricultural price, proceed the development of the garden city, and then later sell the houses back to the people. The idea of garden city was to provide green space, single family homes, and cheap for the working class. It was also to take people out of the industrial city and to put people in better, healthier, and greener environments. Three magnets (town, country, town-country: take the positive aspects of the three and take out the negative aspects to have the best of both worlds.
