Marx german philosophy: school to study law, knowledgeable about art, in uenced by hegel and feuerbach. Feuerbach: materialist, french enlightenment, met utopian socialist movement. Rejected it: lived in england at the time. God is not real, he is not material. Not material forces and factors that align society to be the way they are.
