In bigger organization, there will be staff managers advising line manager what to do. They will be responsible for utilized hr effectively, managed in compliance with company policies and procedures, government legislation and in unionized settings, collative agreement. The activities they are doing are: serving as consultant and strategic change agent, offering advice, formulating policies and procedures, providing services, and monitoring to ensure compliance. In most case, hr professionals serves as a in house consultant to line managers. Their jobs are: recruiting, job evaluation, selecting activities to be outsourced.
