Document Summary

Treatments options available to people are dependent on their context, their geographicals locations, economic resources, social/familial support systems, etc. Even the treatment of physical disease must be located within the personal and contextual elements of people and their everyday lives. Relational inquiry is supported by developing particular ways of being and relating to the work by employing knowledge and tools that can expand and sharpen the perceptual quality of your nursing view. 2 main perceptual tools: relational inquiry enlists the hp and critical lenses as pragmatic tools to expand relational consciousness and guide the inquiry process. 1)hermeneutic phenomenology lens (hp): focuses on people"s living experiences and how those experiences are meaningful and interpreted: critical lens: focuses on how the power laden contexts of people"s lives shape their exeriences and interpretations. The hp lens draws attention to how our experiences are shaped by our own interpretations.
