Document Summary
Students are allowed to bring to the exam two 8. 5 inch by 11 inch sheets (both sides) containing any information they wish. A previous final exam with solutions is posted on the course web page. Assignment solutions (paper only) may be borrowed across from my office. You may photocopy them but please return them promptly (within 1 hour). Assignment marks and the mid-term marks will be posted on the course web site -- please check that the marks have been correctly recorded. Note: if you cannot get into eow on sat and mon (which are holidays), i will have these office hours in the elw lobby. Approximate distribution of marks on the final exam (some questions may cover material from more than one chapter): - condition, stability, errors, taylor polynomial, floating-point arithmetic. Local and global truncation error. (you do not need to know taylor"s theorem for a function of two variables).
