Many researches reflect a problem which is not derived from a theory. In this case, it is very important to state the problem and the goal very precisely by following a series of steps: the management problem. The first step is to reformulate the problem as an open question for management which sees the (cid:494)problem(cid:495) more like an opportunity. It should be stated in a question form and focus on the outcome or decision at the end, not on the symptom of the problem. In the second step, the management problem is converted in to a research problem by making it researchable. The research problem asks what information you need to be able to answer the management problem.
