#1... Do NOT spam.
The dictionary definition of SPAM is as follows: irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a
large number of recipients.
In no way does this course endorse or encourage spamming whatsoever! Doing so will get you in trouble
with YouTube and your account will, and should, be deleted.
YouTube has a daily limit of sending 20 messages
a day for a reason. Do not message your leads all at once and spread them out throughout the day.
#2… Personalize your messages.
Remember you are approaching video/channel owners to do business with you. These people could be
anyone, of any age, and of any background. So their initial reaction might be one of skepticism. So your
approach must have that in mind.
Be friendly and personable. Let them know why you want to do this and why you think their video is a good
fit. You do not need to say a lot, but be honest. This should be easy. If it is not, then you have to ask yourself
why you are contacting them in the first place.
Ideally, you should subscribe to their channel and maybe like or comment on the video in good faith. If you do
get a link placement with them, then it will help you in the long run anyways.
#3… This is not Get Rich Quick!
While this method is very powerful, inexpensive, and simple to implement, it should also be taken seriously.
Be strategic and respectful to yourself and others.
